Northrop Grumman - Ship Move
December 2007 - Gulfport, MS
In December 2007, Lee was challenged with developing an engineered plan to transport a 100 foot long ship from a classified hanger for Northrop Grumman in Gulfport, MS.

In order to engineer such a huge feat, Lee Contracting had to develop proprietary methods for shoring and rigging this vessel across a dry port.

Assisted by a 160,000 lb. capacity equipment mover, framework to create a ship cradle, and custom-made 300-ton dollies were engineered to relocate the ship to its final destination.
Northrop Grumman Ship Move - The Lee Team
This mission was extremely successful and done without any error, thanks to the time and attention to detail by the company's rigging team. "The company was represented with the most impressive crew..." said Glen Peebles of Northrop Grumman. Mr. Peebles went on to say, "I was extremely impressed with they way they came in, assessed what needed to be accomplished, brought all of the materials to do the job most efficiently, and did it in a safe and timely manner."
